I’m sitting here reading your story because I took the day off. I am burned out literally have a headache and worked with the meanest person I have ever worked with in my life this week. I am a contractor so I work contract to contract always meeting new and interesting people. Taking the day, I’m giving up hundreds of dollars.. my income . Contractors do not get sick days or vacation days . Reading your article made me take pause and think about the silver lining. Thank you so very much.
This really hit me in the feels. After going through my own cancer journey, I carried anger (about diagnosis), and even guilt, for seeming to have gotten off easy without chemo or radiation. I don’t consider myself worthy of being called a survivor.
Elizabeth’s journey and her choice to find light in the darkness is a reminder I greatly needed. Thank you for encouraging me to shift my focus toward silver linings and everyday joy.
Jenna, you’re a constant inspiration to keep finding light in the ordinary. Please keep reminding us, it truly helps.
March marks 11 yrs since I was diagnosed with MS. Silver linings describes how I feel when I walk my dog through my neighborhood and the appreciation I have to experience each season. Chronic pain is a lifelong challenge but to be able to be outside and able to walk is a gift I truly cherish. It is ok to be frustrated and even angry at times but when you can also feel gratitude and see beyond your own pain, that is when you experience humility and can truly appreciate the humanity and nature.
That’s our girl!!!! So grateful to have walked this journey with you, my precious friend. We are the blessed because we get to have you in our circle and I will always remember the first bird pose after chemo. You always remind me E to look for the JOY!! We can always find the light in the darkness ! God is so good and He gets all the glory in your healing. Celebrating you today and everyday! Love you so and thank you Jenna for sharing !!🫶💕🙏🏻

Such a beautiful story. Glad you had a support group to help you.
Elizabeth, this is so beautiful. It sounds like God sent you some encouraging angels along the way.
Godwinks for sure!
Beautiful story! Silver linings! I love that! Some people call them 'Godwinks.' Both are a beautiful way to look at hard things!
Thank you Peggy!
