💌 Welcome to Thousand Voices Books
Your home for updates, sneak peeks, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into Jenna’s new imprint, Thousand Voices Books.
Welcome to Thousand Voices Books — a section of Voices at the Table where we’ll share the books I’m publishing, the powerful stories that shape them, and the incredible authors bringing them to life.
Last year, I started a publishing imprint, and since then, many people have asked me what an imprint is…I didn’t know until I started working in publishing!
Here’s the short version:
An imprint is a small publishing house that lives inside a bigger one. And Thousand Voices lives inside Penguin Random House – specifically Random House Publishing Group!
My hope in all of this is to spotlight emerging talent and celebrate stories that make us think, spark conversation, and most of all, create empathy.
It’s totally different from my book club with the Today Show — Read With Jenna. At the imprint, we partner with the publisher and get to be part of the editorial process from the very beginning. And most importantly, I get to share my spotlight with new writers who need it.
In many ways, it feels like working at a startup…we’re learning as we go, and having the best time doing it. And we want you to be part of the process! Let us know your thoughts, hopes, and what you’d love to read next. This is your space to share, too.
What’s Happening Right Now
Last month, we published our first book, Conform by Ariel Sullivan.
This is a book that takes you to another world entirely. Set in a future ruled by power and control, it’s a love story wrapped in rebellion, about one woman daring to choose her own heart in a world that wants to choose for her.
Not only do I love Conform, but I adore its author, Ariel Sullivan. Over the past month, we’ve traveled across the country together – talking about the book, of course, but also about our shared love of reading and the way stories can bring us closer.
Ariel wrote a beautiful piece for us about her writing process and how she dreamed up Conform…
And it’s not just me who loves this book – look at these blurbs!!!
Then came your reactions – the notes, the comments, the photos from your book clubs – all of it has meant so much to me and to Ariel.
